Cherise Harris is an illustrator living in Barbados. After completing her associate degree in visual arts at the Barbados Community College, Cherise received her BFA in illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and her MA in illustration: authorial practice from Falmouth University in the UK. Her work is often inspired by nature and her love of fantasy and storytelling.
She is the illustrator of The Shark and the Parrotfish and Other Caribbean Fables, published in Cuba in 2014 by Editorial Gente Nueva as El Tiburón y el Pez Loro y Otras Fábulas Caribeñas.
