Mario Picayo Visits Antigua and Attends Re-opening of Barbados National Library, 2009

After approximately two years, the main branch of the Barbados National Library in Bridgetown re-opened. The event was celebrated with music, poetry, speeches by local and visiting dignitaries and the presentation of book donations. Among the guests who presented books to the library and spoke at the event was our publisher and author Mario Picayo. Making a brief stop in Antigua, Mario spoke to students at Island Academy and at Potters Primary School. He also presented signed copies of A Caribbean Journey From A to Y (Read and Discover What Happended to the Z) to Ms. Dorothea Nelson, Chief Librarian at the Antigua Public Library, and to the Ministry of Education.
